Why And How I Build An Email List ?

We’ve all heard a million times before that money is in the list, and you know what? It’s true. As a matter of fact, you need to build two lists: a list of potential customers and a list of buyers. But why does everyone on the internet need to build a list, and how? Below are a few methods for building an email list.

These are the two questions I will try to answer in this article.

Why Build An Email List?  Simple. If you want people to pay attention to your product or an offer that you are promoting, the best and easiest way to do that is through your email list. Now some say that list building is dead or backdated, but that could not be further from the truth. It is still the number one way to engage with your audience. You can (and should) use social media such as Facebook or Twitter, but the email list is the ultimate king for a number of reasons:

  1. You own your email list. You don’t own Google, Bing, or Yahoo, and let’s face it, SEO is a bummer and slow, if not a waste of time. Social media is great, such as Facebook and YouTube, but there are rules and you must comply with their terms of service. A little mistake and you could have your account taken down instantly.
  2. You could rebuild your business with just your email list. As mentioned in #1, you don’t own search engines or social media, so if you lose everything, such as your website or your social media accounts, you will still be able to run your business with just your email list.
  3. Email is the cheapest and easiest way to communicate with your audience. All you need is an autoresponder, which you can get for less than $20 a month (starting price), and once it’s set up, just simply write your message, add your clickable link, and direct your audience to wherever you want them to go. It’s that simple.

I could go on and on but to keep this article short, I’ll stop there and get into how I build a list.

How I Build An Email List Fast (Step By Step)

How to Build An Email List

Although there are dozens of ways to build an email list, the methods that I am going to teach here are the ones that I personally use and have had great results with.

Solo Ads

Solo Ads, hands down, are the quickest and easiest ways to build a list.

A solo ad is when someone (solo ad seller) sends a blast of emails to their large list which directs them to your landing page.

To put it simply, there are a lot of internet marketers who have collected a large list of people and will accept payment in exchange for sending an email to their list, which will direct their email list to your landing page.

Now it is important to remember that you are not buying his email list but are simply buying the clicks to your landing page, so it is vital that you have a good landing page and equally important that you have a great offer to entice people to enter their email address.

For example, if you purchase 100 clicks, you will not receive 100 subscribers but will be guaranteed to receive 100 clicks to your landing page only.

There is no guarantee that people will enter their emails.

Now, to create a great landing page, there are many software programs out there to choose from, such as Click Funnels, Lead Pages, or WP Profit Builder.

They all work great, but they are very expensive, so if you’re a beginner then the one I suggest is the one I use, which is Getresponse.

People think that GetResponse is an autoresponder, which it is, but it can also create stunning squeeze pages and can also be used to build funnels.

Getresponse

Getresponse has dozens of templates to choose from and is easy to use with its drag-and-drop editor.

Once you have created a landing page you will need a great offer to get people to enter their email address, this could be an e-book, video course, or affiliate link.

But remember, the aim is to get people to enter their email addresses, not to make money yet. So it’s always best to use the word “free” on your landing page to get a high opt-in rate.

Where To Buy Solo Ads?

There are dozens of places to buy solo ads, but the three platforms which I have used are Facebook, Warrior Forum and Udimi.

On Facebook, just type in “solo ads testimonial,” and you will find hundreds of vendors selling solo ads.

The same goes for the Warrior Forum and Udimi.

All these three platforms give you testimonials of the solo ad sellers, so make sure you pay particular attention to the average opt-in rate and whether there were any sales made or not.

You will also need tracking software to make sure you receive all the clicks you paid for and to check the quality of the traffic.

There are a lot of tracking tools out there, but the one I use and recommend is Click Magick.

Facebook Ads

The second method I use is Facebook advertising. There are several benefits to using Facebook ads, but I’ll just mention 3 here:

  1. Billions of people use Facebook worldwide so there is no need to worry about competition. Twenty-two billion advertising clicks are made every year.
  2. It has the best targeting capabilities of any other social network. You can find your audience by their interests lose weight, dating, etc.), age ranges, location, and so on.
  3. They’re a lot cheaper than Solo Ads. You can reach 200 people for as little as $5 a day.

The only reason Facebook ads come second to Solo ads is that you have to make a campaign and get it approved by Facebook, write good copy for ads to get people to click, and then hope that people will opt in.

Whereas with Solo ads you simply give your squeeze page to the vendor and purchase however many clicks you want.

Website How I build AN Email List

These two methods—solo ads and Facebook ads—are the main ways I use to build an email list.

They are the quickest and most effective.

The third method I use is through my website, which you are currently reading right now.

On nearly every post there will be an exit pop-up, which will appear when you try to leave the page, with a simple message asking the viewer to enter his email address.

There are also a number of social sharing buttons that will increase the number of visitors to my website.

This can be effective, but it will take time for you to rank highly on Google.

Just keep blogging, and soon you will receive a steady stream of visitors, which will turn into leads, and you will be building a list for free.

As I mentioned at the beginning of the article there are many ways to build a list, but I will only write about the methods that I use.

In the future, I may write another extended article, but for now, this should be enough.

I will be creating many more training articles, so make sure you enter your email in the opt-in box on this page, and I will see you soon.

A quick note about the reviews on this site: I am an affiliate for every product I review. However all my reviews are done as honestly as possible and I make no promises to the vendor prior to writing my review. Should you click a link on this site that takes you to a paid product this link will be an affiliate link and I will be paid a percentage of the sales price should you decide to purchase that product.
