As we all know anything with scarcity on it sells. Whether it be a squeeze page, sales page or a special offer that page will have a better chance of converting into sales. Anyone who is interested in a product or software but is on the fence whether he wants to buy it or not is more likely to not buy it unless it has scarcity on it. Simply put scarcity puts a sense of urgency into the minds of people and this fear of losing out will force them to act.
This is the reason why I like this word press plugin so much. It simply allows you to put a count down timer on your blog. So for example if you’re doing a product review as I do, or if you’re selling a product and want to give something extra like a bonus or a free gift you can simply say the bonus or free gift is only for a limited amount of time and in order to get something extra for free the customer will more likely buy before the timer runs out. Whereas before they were in two minds and would have waited until the next big thing came along.
